MacOS Aerials Video Wallpaper

MacOS comes with some high quality 4K aerial video wallpapers.

How to download

First you need to navigate to  → System Settings... → Wallpaper and click the little download icon to download the video.

Once the download is completed. Head back to MUGEN Wallpaper → Manage Wallpaper → MacOS Aerial. First time user will need to open the folder to grant access the app access to these folders.

Now the app should be able to list all the MacOS Aerials and you can easily switch between them.

For user using the settings screen

From the video selection window, navigate to /Library/Application Support/com.apple.idleassetsd/Customers/4kSDR240FPS. If you cannot see any files, it could be downloaded as different resolution and under a different folder in /Library/Application Support/com.apple.idleassetsd/Customers.

MacOS Tahoe 26 Update

Some of the existings aerial will be moved to a different location /Users/{Your Username}/Library/Application Support/com.apple.wallpaper/aerials/videos/.

A new “Tahoe Day” wallpaper available in MacOS 26. The file located under /System/Library/Desktop Pictures/.wallpapers/Tahoe Day/.

All Apple TV Aerial Video ScreenSaver

MacOS only has subset of the Apple TV Aerial Video ScreenSaver. You can find the rest in this website. You can right click on the video and choose “Download” or “Download as”.
